The Task Force on Personalised Budgets is carrying out a public consultation to find out what people think about personalised budgets and how they should be used in Ireland. A personalised budget is a sum of money which would be funded from the HSE’s budget for disability services and provided to an eligible person with a disability to meet their needs for personal social services and supports. We would also like to hear the public’s view on what supports people with a disability might need to help them in using a personalised budget.

The consultation documents are available to download from An easy to read version of the consultation paper and the questionnaire is also available at the link.

Consultation responses should be submitted to or to the following address: Personalised Budgets Consultation Room 3.16 Department of Health Hawkins House Hawkins Street Dublin 2, D02 VW90

The closing date for submitted your views is 6pm on Friday 20th October 2017.
