The Task Force on Personalised Budgets is carrying out a public consultation to find out what people think about personalised budgets and how they should be used in Ireland. A personalised budget is a sum of money which would be funded from the HSE’s budget for disability services and provided to an eligible person with a disability to meet their needs for personal social services and supports. We would also like to hear the public’s view on what supports people with a disability might need to help them in using a personalised budget.

The consultation documents are available to download from http://health.gov.ie/consultations/. An easy to read version of the consultation paper and the questionnaire is also available at the link.

Consultation responses should be submitted to Budgets_Taskforce@health.gov.ie or to the following address: Personalised Budgets Consultation Room 3.16 Department of Health Hawkins House Hawkins Street Dublin 2, D02 VW90

The closing date for submitted your views is 6pm on Friday 20th October 2017.
