Minister for Primary Care Kathleen Lynch, supported by Minister for Health Leo Varadkar, made the recommendations in a statement this evening. Ms Lynch said: ‘We need to be precise and focused on the questions that remain unanswered. I strongly believe it is in the public interest that we establish the facts surrounding vulnerable people who were placed in this foster home.'”

From RTE.ie: “Director General of the Health Service Executive Tony O’Brien will appear before the Public Accounts Committee today to be questioned about the handling of abuse allegations surrounding a foster home in the southeast. The alleged mishandling centres on an intellectually disabled young woman who was left in the home for more than 13 years after it became the subject of abuse allegations.”
