As part of our General Election coverage, Inclusion Ireland will be reviewing all of the manifestos published by political parties in terms of their commitments to disability issues. We are judging the party manifestos in comparison to our own asks contained in ‘A Disability Manifesto for Equality and Human Rights’. Our first review regards Renua Ireland’s manifesto ‘Rewarding Work, Rebuilding Trust’. This manifesto contains some promises for people with a disability and ther…e is a commitment to a Cost of Disability Commission, individualised budgets and ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with a Disability.
